I have been invited to slip into my favorite sandals and Walk the Green Mile - another Ipanema event coming this March 21, 2009 at 5pm. The walkathon project will be held at Fort Bonifacio Global City.

ELRO Corporation, the exclusive distributor of Ipanema flip-flops in the Philippines, partners with Haribon Foundation through its awareness campaign called "ROAD to 2020". This campaign aims to contribute towards a more lush Philippines by "planting and growing native trees in 1 million hectares of our local rainforests until year 2020".
At the Walk the Green Mile event, Ipanema sandals in booths can be sold at a 10% price off and part of the proceeds from these purchases will go to Haribon Foundation's ROAD to 2020 campaign.
Aside from walking the streets with fellow advocates and fashionistas, Ipanema also prepared freebies and exciting prizes to be won!
- First 500 participants to will get a limited Ipanema GB baller ID
- First 100 participants will receive a free Walk the Green Mile shirt
- First 50 participants get a free Ipanema GB Seeds flip-flops of their choice
- Participants who are going to purchase at the venue gets a 10% off, a free bag, and a chance to win a pair of Ipanema GB Seeds signed by renowned supermodel, environmentalist, and slippers designer Giselle Bundchen herself!
